A teacher at heart. With her brother at her side.

Laura is a teacher. And teachers are chronically short of one thing: time. It felt like every free hour went into the pile, marking exams or writing the next one all over again. What she often wished for: an assistant who has already written a few hundred assignments, who knows the templates and can set an expectation horizon in her sleep.

This is where her brother Felix comes in. He builds software and quickly understood: that assistant can be built. Not as a replacement for Laura's judgement, but as tireless support behind it. Out of a teacher's shortage of time and her brother's craft, Laura the product was born.

This Laura has since helped develop and write tens of thousands of exams and tests, right across the subjects. Whether a text summary, a maths word problem or a biology test: Laura knows the structure, the expectation horizon and the typical pitfalls, because she has seen them hundreds of times. You can picture her as a fast-learning pedagogical super-assistant.

And something special that mattered to Laura: Laura does not write its corrections in some computer font, but in your own handwriting. When the work comes back, it looks as if you made every note yourself in red pen: personal, familiar, in your own hand. The child recognises their teacher, not a machine. And you only release that handwriting once it truly looks like you.

From the hours a teacher spends marking, honestly, no one benefits. The teacher can mark perfectly well, that was never the problem. The problem is: every hour at the red pen is an hour the child is missing out on.

The Little Prince wrote down the line Laura goes by: « On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. » One sees clearly only with the heart. Hard, when thirty essays sit on the table until midnight.

So the division of labour Laura relies on: Laura takes the pile. The teacher takes the child.

The AI proposes, computes confidences, builds evidence, fast and tireless. But it never decides. The grade, the final word, the responsibility stay with the teacher. What comes back is not a replacement for teaching, but the time in which teaching can happen in the first place.
